Anjo Bolarda is a 23 year old illustrator/graphic designer based in Manila, Philippines and currently working for a renowned local apparel brand (Folded and Hung) as a graphic designer at large.
Most of his illustrations involve colorful funky adult graphics and typography with a twist of irony and humor.
He started his career as an illustrator when he joined Noise Singapore 2009 fresh off the boat and made it as the featured artist, though disqualified, this jump started his profession as an illustrator.
His works have been recognized and featured in various design blogs and magazines in Europe and US including Lost at E minor, Doodlers Anonymous, Blanket Magazine, Day Dream Network, Yay Art, ArtBistro, Unstage, Plus63, GetInspired Magazine, Tracy Grady blog, ThunderChunky, Singstyle, Computer Arts UK and this 2010 he was featured in Artist Inspired book along with renowned artist Audrey Kawasaki, Raphael Vicenzi, etc.
Anjo is also one of the artists who represented Philippines in Yahoo Purplescape
South East Asia initiative and got the chance to showcase his works at the Spike Awards in Singapore. He was named by Rogue as one of Philippines top illustrators and also by Philstar for Supreme A-Z. He also worked with a list of clients namely Yahoo Southeast Asia, Rogue Magazine, Analog Soul, National Arts Council of Singapore, Noise Singapore, Nestle, Teeshed, Kult, Reckless Erica, etc.
