    About the artist

    GILBERTO PADRÓN
    1959-1970. Complete elementary and high school education.
    1967 Conducts studies of commercial art at the Higuera Giménez Academy, in Caracas, Venezuela.
    1972-1974. Assistant at the studio of the landscape painter Barey Loris. Attend the Free Painting Workshop at the School of Visual Arts Cristobal Rojas in Caracas; where contacts the muralist Gabriel Bracho, with whom cultivated a long friendship.
    1975 Professor of Art History and Art Education at the Lyceum San Martín de Caracas. Founding member, with the artists Gabriel Bracho and Luis Dominguez Salazar, of the new Public Art Workshop.
    1982-1986. Travels to Paris, France, where resided for the term of five years. Conducts studies of Art History and Museology at L'Ecole du Louvre; Restoration of Easel Painting at the Atelier de Restauration Renato Vassallo; and Restoration and Conservation of Art and Archaeological Objects at l'Université de Paris / Panthéon-Sorbonne.1959-1970. Completa su formación básica y de bachillerato.
    1987-1998. Returns to Venezuela and holds the post of Museologist II in the Military History Museum Venezuela. Conducts studies of anthropology at the School of Anthropology at the Central University of Venezuela. Directs and advises museological and archaeological projects in Zulia State: Gabriel Bracho House Museum and Museum of Man, Ports of Altagracia; Anthropological Museum of Maracaibo; "Rescue archeology in North Mina" microregion Carbonífera Guasare-Socuy and "Study of archaeological survey in the area of the planned shipping terminal in Pararú" Páez Municipality.
    1997 President and founder of G. Padron Associates CA, company for the rescue, conservation and restoration of cultural property of archaeological, paleontological, historical, artistic, social, ethnological or architectural value and its environmental or landscape.
    1998-2014. Travels to Paraguay, where he settled until today.
    1999 Honorary Counsel of the Municipal Museum of History "The Mensú" Ciudad del Este. Dept. Alto Parana, Paraguay.
    2000 Found GP Atelier: free workshop for artistic expression, Ciudad del Este, Alto Parana, Paraguay.
