    About the artist

My enthusiasm for the human figure was developed from my interest in bodybuilding. The idea of gaining more muscular mass took me to the point of building an authentic colection of magazines and publications of the subject, and obtaining a certificate as a trainer of the Mexican Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness.

During my past 7 years I have been working on a Gym, and trained hundreds of people in physical conditioning which, has given me the oportunity of having a closer look on the diferent kinds of results each routine and programs have on the body. However, my practice on drawing is what took my interest to the next level.

To understand through out my drawings the amazing tridimensional structures of the muscular system and perceive it as a perfect and complex machine that operates under the biomechanical and mathematic standards, has allowed me to improve substantially in both fields. The works of the Profesor Frank Henry Netter, the “medical-artist” for antonomasia who became to be called “The Angel Michael of medicine”, were a total revelation in what respects on the subject. The studying of his ilustrations and publications, that today are still making the carrer of doctors all around the world, has with out a doubt given me a new and improved understanding of the human anatomy. This, is how the human body and face of it become the main topic in my work, serving as a border line between reality and fantasy that since yesteryear has inspired us.
