    About the artist

    Machí was born in Algemesí, province of Valencia on July 29th of 1983. He studied Fine Arts at San Carles (UPV), particularly interested in portrait and realistic paintings. He then completed his studies at the "Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia" where he studied artistic anatomy with Professor Zochetta. In 2007 he won a scholarship and moved to Sao Paulo, Brazil where he lived one of the best years of his life... Brazil opened his mind to new horizons and further aroused his desire and passion for travel and languages. After showing his work in Italy, Brazil, Brusselas and Spain, in 2009, Machi moved to Madrid and in this period he worked in the Spanish film industry. In 2013 an successfuly exhibition in Lebanon opened many doors in the international art market and currently working in many artistic internacional projects.

    In his own paintings and illustrations, clearly influenced by the cartoons of our childhood, gives life to perverse and ironic depictions of popular characters such as Popeye or Mr. Monopoly in scenarios and environments that would be hardly approved by their original creators.
