Robert Sherman is a renown name in the US Art Industry. His work has been a part of many private collections , including those of President Bill Clinton, Governor Jim Guy Tucker - former Governor Winthrop Rockefeller, San Francisco Art Institute, Southeast Arkansas Art Center , Wesleyan University, , McElroy National Bank, UCA and many others.
"I have tried for more than 50 years to use my gift to help people," Sherman said. "When I say 'gift' I mean that I take no credit for the work that I have produced. I lose myself in the process, the painting or sculpture shows me what it wants to be. I am only an undeserving vehicle."
"If my vision was what I wanted it to be, then it would have helped people see that yes, there is chaos and hate in the world. There is only one way to reduce, if only a little, fear and hate. Like it or not, we all have to exist together or perish," Sherman explained. "My paintings are Mandala's.
What is a Mandala? The Tibetans from the Fourth Century were the first to become known for them - they are vehicles to find your own calm center through visual meditation."
