An exhibition to tell the relationship between an artist intolerant of definitions and a city that becomes for him a springboard for the unknown and inspire new creative paths: with Alighiero Boetti in Rome on MAXXI tells the story of "Ali Ghiero, the Bedouin in transit , camped next to the Pantheon. "
Thirty works, many unpublished or rarely exhibited, that tell a unique creative season in search of an identity and the discovery of distant worlds and fascinating.
The exhibition examines the particular relationship that has linked Boetti in Rome, as the artists' community of the city was influenced by his personality, and how his relationship with the East have been critical to the emergence of a new color sensibility in during the eighties.
The exhibition also highlights the connections, the plots and the resonances between the work and the artist Francesco Clemente and Luigi Ontani of which will be exhibited a series of works in dialogue with those of Boetti, investigating for the first time the relationship between their works that redefine the landscape of vitality and creative exuberance that involves the generation of the seventies.
