Angelica Dass presents his work as a tool for exploration, questioning and search for identity, self and others, and understand photography as a dialogue, as a game in which social and personal codes are put in the running to be reinvented as a flow continuous flow between the photographer and the / the photographed, as a bridge between masks and identities.

In his series Humanae makes a series of portraits whose ultimate goal is to record and catalog, through scientific measurement, all possible human skin tones. Humanae is a chromatic inventory: a project that reflects on the colors beyond the borders of our codes by referencing the PANTONE ® color system.

(PANTONE ® Guides are one of the leading color grading systems, that represented by an alphanumeric code, allowing to accurately recreate them in any medium. Industry is a technical standard that is often called True Color).

The development of the project is the realization of a series of portraits whose background is dyed the exact shade extracted from a sample of 11 x 11 pixels of one face of the people portrayed. The ultimate goal of the project is to record and catalog all possible human skin tones.

Humanae nude models opening up a range of questions. Humanae attempts to highlight the subtle continuity of our shades do more for equality for the difference ... are our true colors, rather than the false Red, Yellow, Black and White. It's a game to subvert our codes. Project objectives include induction and debate, using the internet as a platform for discussion on ethnic identity, creating images that take us to match us outside factors such as nationality, origin, economic status, age or the rules aesthetic.

The work in progress to be carried out during the show will consist of an open call during the first weeks of the exhibition, in which the artist will be working onsite, assembling a studio in the gallery. Thus, the exhibition will grow daily, with new images to be generated.
