    The exhibition presents maps drawn up by artists of the s. XX and XXI which interrogate and question the systems of representation. cartographies of physical and mental spaces that generate new signifiers and reflections on the different types of spaces (heterotopias, utopias, invisible or virtual). so make us aware of the prevalence of the simulacrum of reality, of our difficulties to represent the contemporary world, and the notions of ideology and power implicit in the Act of representing.

    The exhibition shows how the artists have subverted the Cartographic language, from the map of the world of the surrealists, cartographies of Art & Language or Artur Barrio. It also includes the transformation of cartography in life by the Situationists, as well as the actuated of Carolee Schneemann or bodily cartographies as Yves Klein and Ana Mendieta. Deals with mind maps, from Lewis Carroll to Erik Beltran; the lived experience of On Kawara, and different concepts of spaces and also jobs that answer the cartographies of power as Marcel Broodthaers, Allighiero Boetti, Thomas Hirschhorn or Francis Alÿs.
