with "will count and survive in time", the photographer Enrique Cano pays a tribute to the documentary in Spain photography and photography professionals who have portrayed the history of this country in the last four decades, through sample photographers. The desire to count.
the exhibition will remain open from October 30 to January 30 at the hall of the Auditorium on the second floor of the Espacio Fundación Telefónica. If you want to attend the inauguration of the next 29 October at 20 h, you can discard here your invitation.
under a "generational look", Cano has needed two years to select photographers who have formed part of the most important professional graphics generation of Spain and that until now never them had been face through a portrait.
the sample collected, in words of Cano, the passage of the history of Spain and of himself since that are companions. In fact portrayed 54 are photojournalists, which in some cases are still devoting to this profession from the artistic, documentary or journalistic point of view, and in other cases, they have retired are still serving this art as a personal hobby. The photographers in the exhibition include various national photography prizes and winners of the World Press Photo.
these 54 characters have portrayed historical moments, both social, cultural as political, the second half of the 20th century that have been momentous for understanding the past, present and future of Spain. In their photographs embody such important events as different episodes of the Spanish transition ranging from political change of President Carlos Arias Navarro to Adolfo Suárez, the unsuccessful coup in 1981 23-F or more social aspects as the Spanish movida of the Decade of the eighties, the triumphs and failures of Spanish soccer of the seventies, prostitution in Barcelona or, at the cultural level, the festivals, traditions and spectacles that are part of the idiosyncrasy of Spain.
