    This seminar seeks to develop a hypothesis of relevance, both musical and mathematical, mathematics report / music through an exploration of the links created with other disciplines such as computer science, logic, philosophy, epistemology, linguistics and cognitive science.

    The topics include: formalization and representation of musical structures, Set Theory and transformational theories, diatonic and neo-Riemannian (biblio), mathematical methods in theory, composition and musical analysis, mosaics and tilings in music , computer music, logic and computability, cognitive science and theories of perception, or semiotics and philosophy of mathematics and music.

    Session 11 January: Fractals: theory and musical applications. With the participation of: Alain Le Méhauté (Physical Department, Kazan Federal University Tatarstan Russia / Institut Franco Québécois), Nicolas Darbon, Franck Jedrzejewski (CEA / INSTN) and José Luis Besada (Paris 8 University / Universidad Complutense de Madrid).
