Synesthesia is to do with the smell, smell with their eyes and see when you hear through the memory. That mix of feelings that transports us to places through indirect relations.
The exhibition offers a stroll through the works of some of the most representative of international contemporary art artists belonging to collection Visualodour.
Visualodour collection was created almost 40 years ago composed by perfumer Ernesto Ventós and named by artist and poet Joan Brossa. The collection reflects a premise synesthete: teach to smell through art and teach to see art through smell.
David Barro, curator of the exhibition, poses for the main space of Tabacalera, a tour of the works as a sensory abyss, activating memory, our own history.
Artists of different generations and nationalities propose different temperatures from the most varied disciplines, taking and working memory and character of space.
On the occasion of the exhibition a publication that includes a picture of each of the 73 works that form the exhibition, accompanied by a text of each author has edited.
Has developed a mediation program, in charge of the collective invisible pedagogies, which intends to restore the instinctive power of the senses through new proposals in tours and workshops around the sample.
