    Opening hours

    Exhibitions: open year round except for Mondays, public holiday and Sunday, afternoons and from December 16 to January 31, 2014. For further information please read the document "2013 Program" at bottom of page. 2 February – Juny 7 and from Septemer 17 to December 15, 2013, open: Saturday, 11:00am – 2:00pm, 16:30pm – 20:30pm. Sunday, 11:00am – 2:00pm. June 8 – September 15, 2013 open: Tuesday – Sunday, 5:00pm - 9:00pm, except if Monday is a public holiday, it will close Tuesday.

    Palau Solterra is the Fundació Vila Casas Museum of Contemporary Photography (National and International) located in the town of Torroella de Montgrí in the Empordà region of Catalonia. It was opened in 2000.  There are presently approximately 200 contemporary photographs on display by artists from around the world.

    Palau Solterra is a 15th century palace that was the ancestral home of the Counts of Torroella de Montgrí. As well as the permanent collection, temporary exhibitions and a cycle of conferences on history and humanities are held annually.
