    About

    Primo Piano LivinGallery was born in Lecce in 2004 as an open space and contemporary art gallery. Since its foundation is committed to conduct research of national and international artistic talent, with a full program of interdisciplinary events (visual arts, seminars, performances, workshops etc), hosting artists, filmmakers and cultural people. Among the artists and the most representative of contemporary art and cinema the gallery has worked with include: Vito Acconci, Living Theatre, Hermann Nitsch, Giovanni Albanese, Edoardo Winspeare, Ervin Olaf, Ugo Nespolo, Peter Greenway, Eugenio Recuenco, AES + F Group, Matthew Barney, Grimanesa Amoros, Pam Longobardi, Matthew Basilè and others.

    The gallery has worked with national and international institutions of merit including: Embassy of Turkey (Rome); Ministry of Tourism and Culture (Turkey); Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Rome); Department of Culture, Education and Art (Turkey); Union of the Faculty of Fine Arts (Turkey); Department of Mediterranean Culture and Tourism (Puglia Region); Department of Culture of the Municipality of Lecce; Foundation Saatchi & Saatchi, Ray Of Light Foundation, Harlem Art Project, New York; Olympic Fine Arts, Beijing, China; Pinacoteque of Gergeri and Heraklion, Crete Island, Greece; EPOSE Palepolis Museum of Samothrace, Greece; Superintendence for the Historical, Artistic and Ethno-Anthropological Heritage of Calabria; Cuprarte Festival, Cupramontana, Ancona; CCCB Centre de Cultura Contemporanea, Barcelona, Spain, Venice Biennale, Antikyra Museum Greece and others.
