Art Monaco ’13 the leading contemporary art fair of the French Riviera will host its most ambitious edition to date.

After four successful editions, Art Monaco ‘13 has established itself as the art fair for art and luxury lovers. Under the slogan “Because art is also life”, the fair has the goal of becoming as important as other international art events in Miami, Paris, Belgium and Italy. Hosted by a city that is international known as the “Playground for the Rich and Famous”, the fair will take place once again from April 25th to the 28th.

During the four days of the event, the city will be home to some of the most sought after contemporary art from leading international galleries. This year’s edition is the biggest to date with 3.500 artworks displayed for exhibition and sale. Visitors will be able to get a closer look at the artworks of artists like BanksyMarc Quinn Sir Peter Blake, Jean-Philippe Dubiscq, M.F Husain, Vladimir Olmart, Natalja Nouri, Roberto Bernardi or Helga Krez, among many more international names.

The list of participating galleries also features a wide range of artistic cultures from 30 countries that will showcase part of the leading contemporary creations worldwide. Due to its international reach, Art Monaco seeks to be meeting point for equidistant artistic regions and art lovers from across the globe. Among the participants, the visitors will be able to see the artists represented by galleries like Bardz Arvest Fine Art Gallery and Pashmin Art Gallery of Germany, Art By Actual Gallery and GRK galerie of Paris, the Russian Frida Fine Arts Gallery, the Scandic Center Gallery from Finland, the Tyna Ezenma Studio of Nigeria, Studio 26 Gallery from New York or NFF Japon Gallery from Tokyo.

The wide artistic offer that Art Monaco presents to the public is a reflex of the vision of its director and founder, Johnessco Rodriguez. As he explains, for him “art is not a luxury but a need for the exchange and preservation of the history of humanity.” Rodriguez is the CEO of Opus Eventi, an international event agency, responsible for other top notch art fairs celebrated in Colombia, Russia, and Morocco.

One of the main attractions of the 2013 edition of Art Monaco is the special auction that will take place on the private VIP opening. Representatives from the prestigious auction house Christie’s of New York and London will host a special auction with the goal of raising money for the Prince Alireza Pahlavi Foundation
