CHART Copenhagen’s new contemporary art fair
Copenhagen - APR 30, 2013

A few days ago, Copenhagen announced the birth of the city’s new art fair, CHART. This new event will the first fair celebrated in the city that will focus exclusively on contemporary art, providing a new meeting point for international art lovers. CHART will be, alongside the established ART Copenhagen, one of the most important events on the cultural agenda of late summer in the Nordic Countries.

CHART has been conceived based on a transversal model of collaboration, inspired by the notion of collaboration deeply embedded in Nordic culture. Each participant will be asked to unite efforts in order to work towards a common benefit and strengthen the role of the Nordic Countries as a key player in the international art market. Jeppe Madsbad Lauritzen, Head of Group Sponsorship of Danske Bank, the fair’s main sponsor, has highlighted the fair’s Nordic inspiration “CHART represents an exciting new initiative within the art world promoting works at the highest level. The initiative promotes an interesting Nordic perspective”.
