Deenesh Ghyczy creates kaleidoscopic portraits that show figures in moments of inner reflection.

Deenesh Ghyczy's distorted reality
- OCT 10, 2013

Deenesh Ghyczy offers a distorted vision of figures in a state of serenity and inner contemplation. His painting shows his distinct style of fragmented portraits that show the person's natural movements transcending linear time in an attempt to show the past, present and immediate future. To create each painting he uses refracted light which produces a kaleidoscopic image that resembles an optical illusion.

Ghyczy focuses on solitary figures which he captures in a loose realistic style bathed in a strong light that adds an aura of mystery to their inwardness. Each reflection, with which he constructs each peculiar portrait, is a metaphorical representation of the inner self which seeks to reveal the true nature of the model.
