Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts presents the first joint exhibition of this Scottish artistic couple.

Duologue, the collaborative exhibition of Erlend Tait & Pamela Tait
Glasgow (Scotland) - MAY 13, 2013

When two great artists come together at the right time, the result is an exhibition worth visiting. The Scottish couple Erlend Tait and Pamela Tait, have been working side by side for years now but Duologue, presented in the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, is their first joint exhibition. Through the combination of their work methods and ideas, they have created a series of pieces that seamlessly blend their artistic visions.

The individual works show the influence and impact of the close artistic relationship between Erlend and Pamela. On the other hand, the collaborative pieces reflect the common themes and styles, close to what could be called pop surrealism. Duologue shows the combination of Erlend’s floating head portraits with a strong and brighter color palate influenced by Pamela’s work. The resulting works express concepts of alienation and transcendence, through the use of expansive landscapes and cloudy skies as geometric and almost abstract backdrops.

For these artists based in Black Isle in Scotland, the visual conversation created in Duologue, has proven to be a way to explore new territories within their individual art.
