Jenny Riffle seeks to show the uniqueness of each human being in her portraits.

Jenny Riffle's introspective portraits
- OCT 11, 2013

Jenny Riffle is a portrait photographer who seeks to show the uniqueness of each person she photographs. Her images show the photographic stillness found in daguerreotypes, a moment frozen in time that creates an ambiguous narrative about the person photographed.

Her images tell a story about the models she chooses, quietly showing their personality and, in some way, their essence. But Riffle also looks to move the viewers and invites them to recognize themselves in the portrait's situation or gesture. Her main goal is to transmit the viewer "a sense of empathy and greater appreciation for the uniqueness of humans."
