Barbican London has commissioned Leandro Erlich's latest installation Dalston House

Leandro Erlich invites us to feel weightlessness
London - JUN 29, 2013

The talented installation artist Leandro Erlich is known for his impressive optical illusions. His latest intervention has been commissioned by the Barbican in London: his highly popular Dalston House.

The installation creates an optical illusion that simulates the visual effect of what could be called a moment of weightlessness. Erlich placed a wall made up of giant mirrors propped against a horizontal print of a Victorian terraced house of the same size. Visitors are then welcome to play around the printed house while watching their weightless selves in the giant mirror, creating a rather amusing sight.

The Dalston House installation is free and runs through August 4th.
