Liu Bolin is a Chinese artist known as "The Invisible Man". His art combines photography, painting and performance to create amazing images where Bolin literally disappears in front of the camera, blending in with his surroundings. This extreme exercise of camouflage takes hours but the detail and precision are such that sometimes passers-by do not realize he is there. His most famous series is called Hiding in the city where Bolin hides at plain site in the middle of a series of urban landscapes.

Bolin sees his performance photographs as a protest against his government and it's constant persecution of artists. Bolin has been the target of the governments persecution but he continues to create his polemic art. As he comments, he feels he does not fit in modern society and explores different ways to protest against the system. His images are a symbol of how humanity is concealed in the growing isolation of society.
