Miquel Barceló, Penagos Prize for Drawing 2011

Award the Drawing Penagos in his 2011 edition of the creator Spaniard Miquel Barceló.

Born in 1957 in Felanitx, Barceló and his work began to enjoy global impact upon their participation in the Biennale of Sao Paulo in 1981, in the Documenta in Kassel and in various editions of the Venice Biennale. National Plastic Arts Prize and Prince of Asturias, intermingling in their production Barceló organic, and animal material and investigates the processes of oxidation and corrosion. His drawings reflect the landscape and people he knows in his native Mallorca, in his lengthy stays in Africa and in his many travels.
