The italian artist Alberto Seveso explores the liquid abstraction created by ink as it mixes with oil.

The italian artist Alberto Seveso (previously here) has created a vast body of work that analyses the aesthetics of abstraction in liquid contexts. The innovation of his artworks is not found in the subject matter but rather his technique for capturing these images.

His latest series is called "Dropping" and it features coloured ink mixing with oil. This dance between both elements results in beautiful images that show the movement of the ink as it creates 3D forms and spheres that slowly make their way through the oil. The abstraction created as different types of colour, form and texture are revealed is simply fascinating.
