Ee Berger shows us that you can find quietness everywhere, even in the middle of a crowded city.

Photographs of silence by Ee Berger
New York City - OCT 03, 2013

Through her photography, the North American artist Ee Berger seeks out "the emptiness, solitude and peaceful moments, however brief they are" in urban environments. Naturally drawn to emptiness, quiet and space, like the atmosphere offered by the barren streets of Downtown Detroit, Berger now searches for this is Brooklyn, a city of 8.5 million people. Here the streets are not comfortably empty and the buildings do not have spare facades, but she is convinced that a closer look to its urban landscape reveals that the quiet she seeks can be found everywhere. The images of silent urban landscapes that make up her portfolio are proof of this.
