The Australia based artist Robin Eley is a master of detail and texture

Robin Eley's hyperrealistic portraits
London - JUL 20, 2013

The Australia based artist Robin Eley is a lover of detail. A master of tradition, he uses oil on canvas to create his hyperrealistic figurative paintings. But his extreme mastery of technique and his hability to capture texture and detail sets him apart. His incredibly realistic portraits lead the viewer to think he is in front of a photograph.

His paintings simulate the rich textures of fabrics, plastic and aluminium along side perfect portraits and nudes. His images show both beauty and decay, exploring the obsession of modern society with perfection.
